John Resig is a JavaScript Evangelist for the Mozilla Corporation and the creator and lead developer <strong>of</strong> the jQuery<br />

JavaScript library. This library's goal is to simplify the process <strong>of</strong> writing JavaScript code that is compatible with all<br />

web browsers. [3] For his work on jQuery he was inducted into the Rochester Institute <strong>of</strong> Technology's Innovation<br />

Hall <strong>of</strong> Fame on April 30, 2010. [4]<br />

Resig has also been involved in the creation <strong>of</strong> several other JavaScript libraries including FUEL (for Firefox plugin<br />

development), [5] Processing.js (for visual effects) and Sizzle (for CSS selectors). [6]<br />

"The Google Address Translation, was developed by John Resig and gives Google Maps the ability to convert any<br />

US Postal Address into Latitude/Longitude coordinates," according to WebProNews. [7]<br />

Resig is the author <strong>of</strong> the book Pro JavaScript Techniques and the forthcoming Secrets <strong>of</strong> the JavaScript Ninja.<br />

He is also the creator <strong>of</strong> processing.js, which is a port <strong>of</strong> the processing language for JavaScript.<br />

He is also author <strong>of</strong> a widely read blog, ejohn.org/blog [8] , which has more than 13,000 subscribers. [9]
