Nothing says Christmas like a retelling of the classic tale
The Littlest Angel. This charming play follows the
misadventures of Jimmy, the new arrival in heaven. From
his crooked halo to singing off-key in the heavenly choir
and failed flying lessons, he is hopelessly out of kilter with
the rest of heaven’s inhabitants. Then God announces
the birth of his son on earth. The angels all outdo one
another with spectacular baby gifts like a soft cloud to lie
on and heavenly music. Embarrassed, Jimmy presents all
he has to the throne of God -- a box of simple but muchloved
objects from his childhood on earth: a butterfly, a
bluebird’s egg, two white stones, his dog’s collar, and
marbles. God reassures Jimmy of his gift’s worth, for it

but Dickens’ original story adapted to a stirring stage
presentation with music. Music is arranged for men and
women, solo and ensemble SATB presentation. Excellent
character roles. Four original songs with three traditional
carols including: “Love Is a Capital Thought,”
“Home,” “Dance,” “Christmas Day,” and “Take
Care of Yourself.” Program may be staged with one set
and a variety of props and lighting effects. Dickens' original
ghostly morality story is unaltered, but the addition of music
gives this show an inspirational tone. A delightful Christmas

A non-musical version of our classic musical, A
Christmas Carol. This adaptation holds closely to
Dickens’ original story. It is an excellent program if
talented singer-soloists are not available. Lyrics for three
traditional carols are included that may be sung by a
chorus. This simplified play version requires less
rehearsal time and is much easier to stage than the
complete musical. It offers many excellent character
roles. The large cast may be cut to sixteen players with
doubling. It may be staged as a one-act or two-act
presentation. Dickens’ ghostly morality story is staged
with only one set, a variety of props and special
lighting effects. Actors of many ages may participate.
