Forget Broadway! Forget Paris! This musical restaging of Gaston Leroux’s famous mystery beats them all for laughs. No
heavy stuff, just fun aplenty as the Phantom in this country version laughingly makes a star of “too good to be true”
Christine Swansong. Eleven musical showstoppers including: “I Enjoy Being a Ghoul,” “He Who Can Creates,”
“Absent Without Leave,” “Patrons of the Arts,” “When the Fat Lady Sings,” “Too Good to Be True” and
more. Great solo and ensemble songs with outrageously entertaining comedy characters. Wonderful comedy dance
opportunities. Lots of suspense and action with the music. “Dead” bodies fly across the stage, a chandelier “drops” on
the audience, the mysterious Phantom disappears and reappears. Can be staged with only one set. Costumes and
lighting help make the show a box-office winner. A proven, sure-fire show for young performers.
More fun and delightfully different than all other ‘50s musicals! Supernatural magic occurs at the school’s Annual Dance. The
powerful Greek mythological gods, Zeus and Hera, change greasers into “greecers.” They take over to make mortals their
playthings. Crazy mischief and misunderstandings occur. Mild-mannered Coach Wackowitz becomes the real Hercules and
charming Miss Wilde becomes the real Hippolyta, Queen of the Amazons. They start a zany battle of the sexes. Several magical
transformations make a shy boy assertive, an aloof girl loving and so on. It’s like suddenly everyone goes mental! But the antics
and slapstick of this “twilight zone” comedy make possible marvelous stage action for nine great song-and-dance numbers in a
variety of styles and tempos. The show’s climax is the most spectacular reconciliation in three thousand years! Greek mythology
is reorganized, and love wins over all. This bewitchingly charming comedy-musical offers many great singing and acting roles.
High-flyin’ jitterbug fun from the fabulous forties! Boogie-woogie and jumpin’ jive songs with the big band spirit of the
lively post-war years. Many original song-and-dance numbers: “We Got It All in Our Town,” “Jitterbug Juliet,”
“We’re So Bad,” “Think Like a Winner,” “Listen to the Beat,” “Jumpin’ Jive,” “Old Friend of Mine” and
more! The story line is a parody version of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet. Two young star-crossed lovers must find a
way to settle the grudge between the Montagues and the Capulets. The competing fathers schedule the same stage on
the same night for a jitterbug dance contest and the rehearsal of a Shakespearean play. Jitterbug Juliet tries to perform
in both. The confusion provides a hilarious mix-up! Funny characters and wild situations make the family feud as much
fun as the music.
