Principal Orwell signs with cable TV. They install
cameras in every corner of Bradbury High School. The
students’ every move is broadcast to the world! To get
ratings, the show features short clips of students in
embarrassing situations. The backstabbing gossip queen,
the school quarterback and the grunge band, Flannel
Underground, love the free publicity. They fight with
the students who scheme to have the cameras removed.
But when the quarterback gets the fumbles and the
gossip girl has a bad hair day, they join the dissenters.
Everyone acts like perfect angels. With no dirty laundry
to get ratings, SPY TV is cancelled. A humorous, lively

lobotomized airhead and a beautiful but evil heiress.
These characters and more make their way through
Ruth’s kitchen. She’s the head nurse at General Valley
Hospital that spends all her time at home, serving
coffee and listening to all the gossip. The Valley is full of
scandals, shady deals, kidnappings, alleged murders, etc.
But all is forgiven when the head surgeon saves Ruth’s life
by operating with kitchen utensils. This large cast parody
pokes fun at all the daytime soaps! Filled with hilarious
lines and situations. Easy to stage with only one set.

So much to do and so little time. If Cindy wants to go to
the big dance like her stepsisters, she’ll have to finish her
chores first. She dreams to be Daniel Prince’s choice for
the special dance, but her chores are standing in her way.
Her dreams come true when the creative Fairy Godmother
trips to the rescue. The angry family dog is turned into
Cindy’s chauffer, who takes her and the Fairy Godmother
to the mall for a new dress and magical makeup that
makes Cindy unrecognizable to everyone, except to her
true love. Daniel picks “the new girl” for his partner during
the special song and sparks fly. But the clock chimes ten
and Cindy loses her shoe as she rushes to her ride before
he becomes the angry dog again. Can Daniel find his
beautiful dance partner by finding the lone shoe’s owner?
With simple staging and few props, this play is easy to
perform in the classroom or on a stage. Lots of laughs.
