Five of the most popular fairy tales are re-staged and
rewritten to silly rap beats. A narrator-rapper interacts
with a performing group of actor rappers to stage the
tales as they’ve never been staged before. This
collection of five favorites includes: Goldilocks and
the Three Bears, The Three Little Pigs, The
Tortoise and the Hare, Little Red Riding Hood and
Jack and the Beanstalk. The sketches can be staged
with simple props. Costumes are optional. The rappin’
words may be backed up with a drummer, but this, too,
is optional. Lots of fun to do while learning how to
control rhythmic speech patterns.

Lightning! A terrible gust of wind flings open the door. All
of the story pages that Wilhelm and Jacob Grimm were
writing fly apart. When reassembled, the classic fairy tale
characters become part of one mixed-up fairy tale.
Cinderella’s prince asks Rapunzel to let down her hair.
The seven dwarfs don’t know if they’re working for the
three bears, the three pigs, or Hansel and Gretel. Imagine
the Fairy Godmother going to the ball with two witches.
This play has as many roles as you could possibly need
with room for lots of doubling. Everyone has a ball
dancing at the Ball. The biggest fun of the play is to see
if the audience can sort it all out while they’re laughing.

These medium-length comedies are perfect for
classroom and contest performance. Fairy tale
personages are taken out of character and context with

clever hen avoids being sold by mooing, barking,
neighing and oinking to various “characters” until the

she awakens to Hansel and Gretel raiding her food
basket. They have finished off the gingerbread house
and the Witch is after them. Robin Hood chases Bambi
while he runs from Goldilocks because he killed one of
her three bears. Snow White, the vain diva, says OMG!
to everything until the Tin Man finds the Headless
Horseman who sends her off screaming. Dumb Sheriff
Ogre tries to club the “legend” characters because they
don’t belong in “Fairy Tale Forest.” The characters
fight and insult each other. Then comes the White
Rabbit, Alice, Rapunzel and the Prince in a crescendo
of chaos until Red screams and all goes black. She
reawakens. It was all just a dream – or was it? Lots of
fun, easy-to-make costumes and props. A delightfully
funny show for all ages.
