On a dark and stormy night, a shipment of lollipops goes
missing. Just as bumbling detective Pete Cannon closes in
on his suspect, Rocky Kliff, Rocky is seen falling off the roof
of his mansion. A mysterious realtor hires Pete to find who
stole “something” from her. She invites him and all the
suspects to the sale of the mansion. A series of outrageous
characters arrive one-by-one: the traveling Abbot, the
Ringer Twins, the fake psychic and others. Confused Pete
and his frustrated assistant Toots get no answers. Then he
sees eyes moving in a painting. Thinking Rocky’s ghost is
in the mansion, Pete stalks him with a butterfly net. While
he’s hunting, Toots keeps finding lollipops lying around.
Despite himself, and with the help of Toots, he manages
to crack the case. The crate of lollipops has been under a
sheet in front of him the whole time with Rocky, who faked
his own death, inside. Wonderfully silly action and funny
dialog make for great comedy. Easy to stage.

Everything goes wrong at the opening night production of
Cinderella. Just as the director is introducing the play, he
learns the actors have fallen ill. They’ve all gone to the
hospital in costume. But the show must go on! Chaos
ensues as he’s forced to have the stage crew perform. He
quickly casts the stage manager as the Queen and the
flamboyant costume designer as the Fairy Godmother. But
her assistant (Cinderella) has an off and (now) onstage
romance with the sound guy (Prince). Without enough
female crew members, the bumbling light guy is forced to
play the Wicked Stepmother in drag. They go onstage with
improvised costumes, props (Cinderella’s slipper is a clown
shoe) and lines, often breaking character to the director’s
chagrin as he narrates the story. A fast-paced comedy of
errors that will delight your audience.
