Aliens invade a small town with the intent to use earth as
a grazing ground for their lobster-like food source, the
Gargon. But one alien, Derek, finds that the people of
earth are intelligent and runs off to warn them. Derek falls
for ditzy earth girl Betty, then they meet up with Joe
Mama, the town reporter. But alien Thor is sent to capture
them with his ray gun. They lead him in a madcap chase
all over town. Townsfolk are dropping dead as Grandpa,
science professors, policemen, and more join in the fray. It
all comes to blows with the aliens’ return with their
Gargons and Derek saves the earthlings. Lots of campy
fun for performers and audiences alike. Six simple sets
New!
A motley crew of teen characters makes this very loose
adaptation a barrel of laughs. Three simultaneous
storylines that eventually cross paths hold the audience’s
attention and keeps them amused. The Goth girl likes the
nerd, who’s in love with the diva cheerleader, who likes the
jock. Meanwhile, bossy Jen is trying to direct a group of
crazy girls in a play for the school assembly. Concurrently,
the scheming student council president goes to a meeting
in the woods to confront her challenger, a really popular
cool guy with a Camaro. Afterwards, she finds Puck hiding
and convinces him to use a love potion to defeat her rival.
Puck humorously bungles the plan and puts them all to
sleep. When they awake, it was all a dream! The play ends
with a hilarious, abridged, stilted performance of Titanic
by the crazy girls. Easy to stage with simple scenes.
The Three Bears
by MOIRA ROSE DONOHUE
Order #R-P1665
Judge Rip Van Winkle presides over the trial about Goldi
Locks’ trespassing into the home of the three bears. The
sleepy judge has trouble staying awake as the attorneys
for the plaintiff (Prince Charming) and for the defense
(Little Boy Blue) try to present their arguments. The jurors
who keep speaking out of order include Grandma,
Mother Goose, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella and Hansel
and Gretel. The Big Bad Wolf and a Sheep rudely
interrupt the proceedings and are ejected from the
courtroom. When Goldi gets to tell her version of the
events, the sleepy judge dismisses the case. Silly chaos to
produce lots of laughs. The costuming is great fun for the
performers.
mystery too! A Phantom skulks through the hospital,
frightening patients and staff. The crisis is managed by all
