A chest of gold doubloons sent by the Queen to care for
orphaned children has been stolen. To save the orphans
from starvation Sister Benedict seeks the help of
Esmeralda, the captain of the pirates known as the
Lawless Ladies. Once an orphan herself, Esmeralda
promises to recover the gold. The Lawless Ladies go to
Parrot Isle disguised as a shipwrecked theatrical troupe.
Esmeralda suspects that Governor Don Juan Futon and
Beauty may only be skin deep, but it’s ugly that hits the
funny bone! For really big laughs you have the option
of casting male actors as the ugly stepsisters. While
Cinderella and her prince play it straight, her
stepmother, the Archduke and the stepsisters are
comically wacky. A combination of slapstick, sly asides
and pratfalls make this a great stage comedy. The fairy
godmother works behind the scenes with fairy dust
and funny lines to help Cinderella’s dreams come true.
Lots of laughs. Hilarious situations, witty lines and
zany characterizations make this full-length play
memorable entertainment for all ages. A superb show
for performers to test their comedy skills.
New!
Toto is the main character in this hilarious version of
The Wizard of Oz. He’s a needy pet who speaks his
lines, but Dorothy can only hear him bark. Her house
has crushed the Wicked Witch of the East and Toto
brings her the witch’s sparkly shoes. The Lion,
Scarecrow, and Tin Man appear, vying for Dorothy’s
attention and trying to get rid of Toto. The Lion is full
of puns as they journey to the Emerald City. Lots of
great stage action as they cross a ravine on a vine,
make a raft to cross a river, and fall asleep in a tall
poppy field. They find the great and powerful Wizard
of Oz is a duck puppet, but agree to kill the Wicked
Witch of the West anyway. Toto gets his revenge on
the Lion and others before they join forces to melt the
Witch and take her magic wand back to challenge the
Wizard. When Toto drops from the balloon that’s
headed for home, the Good Witch saves him and gives
him a voice that Dorothy can finally hear. She clicks
her heels and the two are back in Kansas. Lots of
funny lines and situations.
