Aspiring teenage writer, Steve Jenkins, decides to fight the
most evil gang of mobsters in fiction. From his wild
imagination comes his hero Lucky Hudson. But
immediately matters get out of hand. Lucky Hudson turns
real to show Steve how to defeat the 12th Street Gang.
Suddenly Steve finds himself in an underworld of seedy
nightclubs and city streets populated by Big Al, Ma Cribbs,
Two-Gun Tommy, Larceny Jane, Hong Kong Holly and
many more. All are controlled by a godfather called “The
Boss.” Hold-ups, double-cross capers and jury trials flash by
before Steve Jenkins finds himself on death row. When the
governor’s reprieve doesn’t come through there’s only Lucky
Hudson to save him from execution. Seven great songs
including: “Lucky, Lucky Hudson,” “A Wild
Imagination,” “Welcome to the Paradise Club,” “The
Almighty Dollar,” “The Hollihock Hong Kong
Babies,” “He’s Guilty” and “The Juice.” Great
comedy action show for a large cast.

and other beach music bands give this one act musical
comedy lots of energy and fun. An Italian immigrant’s
Surfin’ Burger restaurant sits on one of California’s best
beach fronts. Scheming land developers try to steal his
property to build a huge hotel on it. His daughters, their
surfer friends, and the bird-watching society are able to
thwart the developers. Songs include: “Surf’s Up,”
“The American Dream,” “Riptide,” “California,”
and “Shocka Bra.” Full of suspense and hi-jinks. Easy
to stage.

Rock music from the rollicking sixties makes this a fun
show for both the performers and the audience. When the
high school principal denies an in-school battle of the
bands, Starpetal and her all-girl band Flower Power stage
a protest. When they can’t get a park permit to perform,
they make it all happen at Ole MacDonald’s farm. They
call it the Cornstalk Music Festival. This one act version
of Flower Power features six songs: “Flower Power,”
“There’ll Come a Time,” “Makin’ It Happen,” “The
Hippie Generation,” “Oh, My Honey Babe” and
“We’re the Bad Guys.” A great show for a large cast.

“Ridiculously delightful!” This classic tale of the vain,
clotheshorse Emperor rocks with music and comedy. Nine
storytelling songs: “The Emperor’s Song,” “One Tree
at a Time,” “It’s Not Easy Being Perfect,” “Cool
Suit,” “Check It Out,” “Listen,” “You Got to See It
to Believe It,” “Strut Your Stuff” and “Think for
Yourself.” A group of rebel tailors trick the vainglorious
Emperor into believing they can make him a Cool Suit
that’s so “stylish and chic, from a fabric magic and
unique” that only the smart can see it. A lowly page tries
to tell the Emperor it’s a hoax — there is no invisible Cool
Suit. But no one will listen. The royal ministers, the
Emperor’s doting mother, the servants — none will admit
they can’t see the Cool Suit. The foolish Emperor dresses
up in the Cool Suit he can’t see. The royal parade begins.
The Emperor struts his stuff in his Teddy-bear underwear. It
takes a tiny kid to tell him he’s wearing nothing! The lesson:
Think for yourself! Easy to stage — hilarious to watch.
