The Chapel's quaint setting
has been the locale for worship
services every summer
since the turn of the century.
The Chapel was erected on
ground donated for that
purpose by the Tabernacle
Association, which was
organized by the founders of
Ocean City almost JiOO years
ago.
The Chapel was enlarged in
19S9 and accommodates 300
people. The Chapel
Association conducts a
Sunday School program
which begins in July and
continues through September.
Prominant religious leaders
occupy the Chapel pulpit each
Sunday through the summer,
and talented vocalists add to
the Chapel's Sabbath music
program.

New Year baby
receives bonanza
One of those "extra little
things" that goes to make
Ocean City such a friendly
community is the annual New
Year Baby Derby.
The merchants get together
in December and each one
offers some item of merchandise
or service to the first
baby of the New Year and his
parents. The "jackpot"
usually is worth $300 to $400.
The only requirement is that
the parents be bonafide local
residents and that the time
and place of birth be certified
by the attending physician.
