REMOTE CONTROLLED CAR ALARM SYSTEM WlTH ROLLING CODE
FOR VEHICLES WlTH 12 VOLTS SUPPLY
SPEClFlCAtlONS
OR 48 is a car alarm system to combine with a siren ( GS 3A98 wlth buzzer; GS3AC- GS3 2wlre withou
buzzer). It is suuolied with two rolllna code HI-SEC remote controls and two electronic emergency keys
~urthehnore it has the possibility to"se1f-learn the remote controls and the electronic emergency keys.
It can control central locking control units wlth pmitive or negative polarity: it can also control a mota
to be Installed on vehicles which are not provided with the same in the driver's side door.
It is ~rovided with an enaine irnmobillsatlon and it is supplied wlth a coded output in order to carry oul
a double external engine imrnobilisatlon (GMi). Furthermore it is provided w~th dedicated alarm inter.
ventions for doors and bonnet I boot, internal ultrasounds prearranged for bivolumetric function: it has
the pqsIbillty to combine an eventual external optional sensor.
The selectable function at the moment of the installation are: Buzzer, Absorption, Comfort.
lockinplunlocking times, Panic, Blinker time, Swnd tvpe, Passlve arming of the engine immobillser,
PassNe arming of the alarm system, Antidistraction.
THE ALARM SYSTEM CAN BE COMPLETED BY THE FOLLOWING MODULES: SHOCK SENSOR
(GMS), ANTI-TILT SENSOR (GMA), WINDOW-LIF7; ENGINE IMMOBILISER (GMI).
Before proceeding with the installation it is suggested to consult the car installat~on sheets, together with
this han$kmk, for the prearrangement of thewiring hamess.
?HE INST+LIATWN AND THE CONNECTIONS ARE TO BE CARRIED OUT BY THE DEALER
OR BY A P#OFE@IO~AL INSTALLER.
- The eleolMC central box. must be installed in the car Interior by fixing the box wlth the supplied
ed in the bonnet in a position far from heat sources and water ingress
- Fast apliy the UItWund sensors, on both sides of the front windshield (one for each side), in paral-
lel or slightly in comisrging position, directing them towards the area to be protected. It IS beiier to
avdd that fixed hcles may cover the sensors area
- Fin the read8rhEb sup~lled in the kit throuah a hole. of 8 mm diameter on a plastlc part of the dashboard
easy to see and to reach from the user
- Find a position for the bonnet push-button near the bonnet support buffers or mechanical part. Check
the mod workino of the oush-button which must not be reachable from the outside
- ore correct in~allatlon it is advisable to use appropriate accessories (connectors and fastons).
Absolutely avoid quick electrical connections. Take care to the supply connections of the different
components. In doubt carry out the wire tinning
- For a correct worklna of the radio circuit avoid anv contact between the antenna and the metal. In no
case shorten this wire.
- This product can be used on vehicles with petrol or diesel engine providing the battery (12 V) has a
grounded negative supply
- If the vehW is fined wlth additional devices NOT directly fitted by the manufacturer, it is recommended
that the battery is replaced with a larger capacity model
- Connect the siren to the alarm using the accessoires supplied in the kit and then locate the connec-
tors In the car interior
- The product is a stand alone item and does not connect to existing immobiliser
- The alarm system is in conjunction with a Dreviouslv fitted Category 2 immobiliser to obtain Category
1 status for the vehicles security system. .
will be poss~ble to repeat everything by simply turning the ignition key on 'OFF" and turning it again on
"ON". Then repeat the whole programming procedure (point 1 I2 I3 ).
IN THE BELGIUM VERSION THESE FUNCTIONS ARE MASKED AND CANNOT BE CHANGED.
WORKINO.CH;CK
To check the alarm lines it is necessary to arm the alarm system through remote control. During the
arming time, by opening the doors, the bonnet or the boot, a buzzer soqnd and a lightning of the LED
'Will follow to confirm the correcl working. This procedure is valid also for fie line dedicated to the acces-
By deactivated alarm system It is possible to duplicate a remote control or an electronic emergency key
without adressing to an assistance centre by following this procedure by alarm OFF:
1) open a door and keep It opened;
2) turn the igntion key on 'ON";
3) inwart the first key in the dedicated reader and wait for 3 buzzer sounds.
Press a push-button of the remote controi and check that the alarm LED flashing and the buuer sound.
Once the first remote controlhas been store, the alarm system will cancel ail the codes of the remote
repeating the procedure.!t is anyway necessary to repeat the self-learning of all available remote con-
and it will be possible to store again from 1 to max. 4 keys by carrying out the same procedure. It is
anyway necessary to repeat the self-learning of all available electronic keys.
Exit from the self-leeming procedure
It will be possible to go out of the self-learning procedure by turning the ignition key on "OFF Evelytime
the ignition key is taken off, the LED will flash for each self-learned remote control and after about 2
seconds ~t wiil flash again for each self-learned key.
It is possibie to arm and disarm t,he alarm system by touching one of the supplied electronic keys with
