But we have the mind of Christ (1 Corinthians 2:14-16).
There is true liberty only under Jesus Christ. Until Christians
really believe this, and preach it against all false philosophies of
humanism, they will not find fkeedom.
Under Christ
What does it mean to be under Jesus Christ? It means being
under His law.
If you love Me, keep My commandments (John 14:15).
Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments.
He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His
commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoever
keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this
we know that we are in Him. He who says he abides in Him ought
himself to walk just as He walked. Brethren, I write no new commandment
to you, but an old commandment whkh you have had
from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which you
heard fmm the beginning (1 John 2:3-7).
But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues
in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one
will be blessed in what he does (James 1:25).
And take not the word of truth utterly out of my.mouth, for I
have hoped in Your ordinances. So shall I keep Your law continually,
forever and ever. And I will walk at liberty, for I seek your
precepts. I will speak of Your testimonies also before kings, and
will not be ashamed (Psalm 119:43-46).
