Did you hear it? Thud. Babylon the Great is fallen! No, I<br />

don’t mean the Soviet Union. I mean Jerusalem in 70 A.D.l<br />

The fall of the Communist Party in Russia and the break-up of<br />

the Soviet Union makes it clear that the USSR was never prophetic<br />

Babylon. (Dispensationalism: “Red alert! The Reds are<br />

gone. Russia’s invasion of national Israel has been indefinitely<br />

postponed. Damage control!”)<br />

When KGB Group A refused to follow orders on Monday<br />

morning, August 19, 1991- orders to arrest Boris Yeltsin and<br />

shoot him if he tried to escape – the end of Soviet Communism<br />

was only 63 hours away. So was the end of pop-dispensationalism’s<br />

“ticking clock.” <strong>Rapture</strong> postponed! Popular dispensationalism<br />

is now in its terminal generation.<br />

As midnight approached on August 21, the Moscow crowd<br />

pulled down the statue of Felix Dzerzhinsky, the founder of the<br />
