Cookware for
induction hobs
Looking to buy an energy-efficient induction hob?
Good choice! Just remember that you’ll need pots
and pans with magnetic bases. Check by holding
a magnet underneath your cookware, and you’ll know
if your pots and pans are safe to use. If they’re not,
you’ll find a wide range of cookware that’s perfect for
induction hobs, (such as IKEA 365+ and FAVORIT),
in our cookware department in store.

Induction hobs heat up to
60% faster than glass
ceramic hobs and use up
to 40% less energy
Induction
Induction is powerful and
energy-efficient. It heats
up food extremely fast, and
cools down automatically
as soon as you remove the
pot from the burner(residual
heat may be present). The
smooth glass surface makes
the hob very easy to clean.
Glass ceramic
Glass ceramic hobs give
an even heat and have
a smooth easy-to-clean
surface of tempered glass.
Some have variable cooking
zones that can be adapted
to the size of the cookware.
Gas
Gas hobs heat up instantly,
and the temperature is
easily regulated. IKEA gas
hobs have electric ignition
and integrated safety valves
that shut off the gas if the
flame goes out.
