A written activity to practise –er verbs in the present tense. See <strong>TRB</strong> p. 155.<br />

Answer Key: Partie A : 1. marcher/marches, 2. parler/parle, 3. regarder/regardons, 4. disparaître/<br />

disparaissent, 5. ouvrir/ouvrez, 6. aller/vas, 7. finir/finissez, 8. décrire/décrit, 9. avoir/ont, 10. entendre/<br />

entend; Partie B : Answers will vary; Partie C : Answers will vary.<br />

JOUEZ À L’INFINITIF! — 6 e ANNÉE<br />

Invite students to play the game Jouez à l’infinitif! in small groups. Provide each group with a game<br />

board (<strong>TRB</strong> p. 156), a die, and game pieces. If a student lands on a verb which is already in the<br />

present tense, they must move their game piece ahead to the infinitive form of that verb. If a<br />

student lands on a verb which is in the infinitve, he or she must move ahead to the conjugated<br />

form of the verb. If the student reaches a point where there is no a<strong>pp</strong>ropriate verb ahead on the<br />

game board, then he or she must move back to the previous a<strong>pp</strong>ropriate verb (always moving<br />

from present tense verb to infinitive or vice versa). Students move their game pieces along the<br />

board (ahead and back!) until one student reaches Arrivée. An exact roll is required to land on<br />

Arrivée and win the game.<br />

VOYAGEZ AU PASSÉ COMPOSÉ! — 8 e ANNÉE<br />

Invite students to play the game Voyagez au passé composé! in small groups. Provide each group<br />

with a game board (<strong>TRB</strong> p. 157), a die, and game pieces. If a student lands on a verb which is<br />

already in the passé composé, they must move their game piece ahead to the a<strong>pp</strong>ropriate<br />

pronoun/infinitive form of that verb. If a student lands on a verb which is in the infinitve, he or she<br />

must move ahead to the conjugated form of the verb in the passé composé. If the student reaches<br />

a point where there is no a<strong>pp</strong>ropriate verb ahead on the game board, then he or she must move<br />

back to the previous a<strong>pp</strong>ropriate verb (always moving from passé composé verb to infinitive or<br />

vice versa). Students move their game pieces along the board (ahead and back!) until one student<br />

reaches Arrivée. An exact roll is required to land on Arrivée and win the game.<br />
