97.6% of the <strong>ASF</strong> group’s turnover<br />
In <strong>2002</strong>, the toll receipts amounted<br />
to 2,053 million euros before<br />
tax, i.e. an increase of 9.1% compared<br />
to 2001. The HGV share is 29.2%.<br />
In accordance with the pricing<br />
conditions in the company contract,<br />
<strong>ASF</strong> carried out an increase<br />
of +2.036 for class 1 vehicles (private<br />
cars), 2 (caravans) and 5 (twowheeled<br />
vehicles) and +3.90% for<br />
class 3 (small utility vehicles) and<br />
4 (HGV and coaches).<br />
The transition to the euro caused<br />
changes in payment habits<br />
The change of currency accelerated<br />
the transition in the means of payment<br />
in <strong>2002</strong>: 71.5% of the transactions<br />
were made by an electronic<br />
payment method. Receipts paid in<br />
cash, cheques,… are still falling and<br />
now only represent no more than<br />
28.5% of payments collected.<br />
