U.S. COMPANY IDENTIFIERS:<br />

The nine digit CUSIP is used.<br />

Bytes 1-6 Six digit company identifier<br />

Bytes 7-8 Security identifier<br />

Byte 9 Check digit<br />

U.S. SECURITY IDENTIFIERS:<br />

With the exception of the primary issue of the company the nine digit CUSIP assigned to the security is<br />

used. The primary issue is defined as the most widely traded security and the CUSIP assigned to this<br />

issue has already been used as the company identifier. For this reason, the security identifier for the<br />

primary issue is derived by using the first 6 digits of the company identifier followed by a "9" as the<br />

seventh digit, another number and a check digit.<br />

NON-U.S. COMPANY IDENTIFIERS:<br />

A derived identifier based on the country where the company is domiciled is used.<br />

Byte 1: C<br />

Bytes 2-4: WORLDSCOPE country code<br />

Bytes 5-8: Four digit unique company identifier<br />

Byte 9: 0<br />

NON-U.S. SECURITY IDENTIFIERS:<br />

A derived identifier based on the country where the company is domiciled is used. This identifier is<br />

identical to the company identifier except that the "0" at the end is replaced with a letter.<br />

COUNTRY AVERAGE IDENTIFIERS (Industrial Companies only):<br />

Byte 1: A<br />

Bytes 2-4: WORLDSCOPE Country Code<br />

Bytes 5-9: filled with zeros<br />

For example: A25000000 is the country average for France<br />

"A" identifies the record as an Average record<br />

"250" is the country code for France<br />

For the name of the country average see WORLDSCOPE field 06001 (Company Name)<br />

INDUSTRY AVERAGE IDENTIFIERS:<br />

Byte 1: A<br />

Bytes 2-4: WORLDSCOPE Country Code<br />

Byte 5: 0<br />

Bytes 6-9: WORLDSCOPE Industry Code<br />

For example: A38004310 is the industry average for Italian Banks<br />

"A" identifies the record as an Average record<br />

"380" is the country code for Italy<br />

"4310" is the industry code for banks<br />

For the name of the industry average see WORLDSCOPE field 06001 (Company Name).<br />

INDEX IDENTIFIERS:<br />

Byte 1: I<br />

Bytes 2-4: WORLDSCOPE Country Code<br />

Bytes 5-7: filled with zeros<br />

Byte 8: Number of the index<br />

Byte 9: 0<br />
