The Lancaster Station covers an area of more than
600 square miles, which includes the city of
Lancaster and the communities of Lake Los
Angeles, Quartz Hill, and Antelope Acres. Quality
law enforcement services are provided for more
than 190,000 residents.
ANTELOPE VALLEY
SHERIFF’S BOOSTERS
The Antelope Valley Sheriff’s Boosters is a non-profit
organization formed in 1984 by local citizens to assist
the local law enforcement effort. This volunteer
organization has purchased equipment and provided
help in accomplishing the law enforcement mission
in the Lancaster area. In addition to providing much
needed police equipment and crime materials,
funds raised by the Booster Club help the Civilian
Volunteer, Law Enforcement Explorer and Reserve
Deputy Programs. Among the items the Booster Club
has purchased include computers and computer
equipment, an undercover narcotics vehicle,
fingerprinting equipment, and radio equipment for
Volunteers on Patrol.

THE LANCASTER STATION
WELCOMES NEW COMMANDER,
CAPTAIN AXEL H.ANDERSON!
The Lancaster Station has a new
commander, captain Axel H.
Anderson, who recently took over
for outgoing Captain Carl Deeley.
Captain Anderson is a 30-year
veteran of the Los Angeles County
Sheriff’s Department, who has
gained extensive experience
throughout the County and in
various Bureaus.
Captain Anderson’s career with the Department began in
1978 when he attended the Training Academy. Since
then, his assignments have included Field Operations,
Narcotics Bureau, Training Bureau, Internal Criminal
Investigations Bureau, and Leadership and Training.
In his free time, Captain Anderson enjoys all forms of
physical exercise, including strength training, cardio
training, backpacking, snow shoeing and gardening, as
well as spending time with his family at their South Shore
retreat in the Lake Tahoe area.
