Teutonic Knights<br />

Teutonic Knights are amongst the best<br />

sword fighters. They are additionally<br />

equipped with perfect plate armour that<br />

gives outstanding protection. They are,<br />

however, rather slow due to the weight of<br />

the armour.<br />

Requires: Church, Plate Armourer, Sword<br />

Mastersmithy<br />

Town Guards<br />

Town Guards are available in the towns<br />

to provide basic protection. They are good<br />

soldiers and must be taken into account<br />

by the enemy. They spawn automatically<br />

in a Castle Assault and need not be recruited.<br />

Requires: Town Watch House<br />

Trebuchet<br />

Trebuchets are huge static siege machines.<br />

Once deployed, they cannot be<br />

moved to another location before the end<br />

of the battle. They are used to hurl rocks<br />

against castle fortifications to destroy<br />

them or to crack holes in the walls.<br />

Requires: Siege Workshop<br />

Level 3<br />

Varangians<br />

Varangians are distant descendants of the<br />

Vikings who migrated to Southeastern Europe<br />

and gained prestige as elite guards<br />

in Constantinople. They are armoured with<br />

chain mail and a big iron shield. They are<br />

armed with a sharp battleaxe.<br />

Requires: Town Watch House, Chain Mail<br />

Workshop, Axe Smith<br />

Vikings<br />

Vikings are famous for their axe fighting<br />

skills and brave charges. Many other units<br />

are afraid to face Vikings on the battlefield.<br />
