I. PURPOSE
To outline the fee structure for various programs administered by Contra Costa County EMS.
II. FEES are not refundable. Cashier check or money order only made payable to Contra Costa
Health Services - cash and personal checks will NOT be accepted.
EMT-I Initial Certification ($60 1 local fee/$75 State Registry Fee)
EMT-I Re-certification ($60 1 local fee/$37 State Registry Fee)
Replacement Card (if lost/stolen/damaged)
$135 Application Fee

$10 Fee
Paramedic Accreditation $60 Application Fee
MICN Authorization/Re-authorization $60 Application Fee
Continuing Education (CE) Provider Authorization/Re-authorization –
Four-year approval
EMT Training Program – 4-year approval
(public safety agencies, community colleges pay 50% of fee)
Paramedic Training Program – 4-year approval
(public safety agencies, community colleges pay 50% of fee)
Non-Emergency Ambulance Service Permit
Three-year county-wide permit
Emergency Ambulance Service Permit
Three-year permit per Emergency Response Area (ERA)

1 Fee waived for volunteer and reserve fire personnel affiliated with a public fire agency located within Contra Costa County

Fee may be waived for providers offering all courses at no charge to participants or public safety agencies offering courses
to “in-house” employees only.
