<strong>Intel</strong> ® Server System P4000CP Thermal Management <strong>Intel</strong> ® Server Board S2600CP and Server System P4000CP TPS<br />
Two 120 x 38 mm fans provide cooling <strong>for</strong> the processors, memory, hard drives and add-in cards.<br />
The two fans draw air through the rear of each hard drive bay to provide drive, processors, and<br />
memory cooling. All system fans provide a signal <strong>for</strong> RPM detection the server board can make<br />
available <strong>for</strong> server management functions.<br />
In addition, the power supply fan provides cooling <strong>for</strong> the power supply.<br />

12.3.2 Redundant Cooling Solution<br />
Redundant cooling solution is used in the <strong>Intel</strong> ® Server Chassis P4308XXMHGC and<br />
P4208XXMHGC.<br />
Five hot-wap 80x38mm fans provide cooling <strong>for</strong> the processors, hard drives, and add-in cards.<br />
When any single fan fails, the remaining fans increase in speed and maintain cooling until the<br />
failed unit is replaced. All system fans provide a signal <strong>for</strong> RPM detection that the server board<br />
can make available <strong>for</strong> server management functions.<br />
In addition, the power supply fan provides cooling <strong>for</strong> the power supply.<br />
