11.3 SAS Expander Support Options (subject to change)<br />
In support of system configurations that utilize more that 8 hard disk drives, the system has<br />
support <strong>for</strong> multiple SAS expander options. The following table outlines the different options<br />
that should be used based on the system configuration.<br />
11.4 Optical Drive Support<br />

The <strong>Intel</strong> ® Server System P4000CP includes support three 5.25” optical drive bays. The optical<br />
drives can be installed to one of the three drive bays as illustrated below. The data cable from<br />
optical drive is recommended to connect to the white SATA 6G connectors on the server board.<br />
11.5 Low Profile eUSB SSD Support<br />

The system provides support <strong>for</strong> a low profile eUSB SSD storage device. A 2mm 2x5-pin<br />
connector labeled “eUSB SSD” near the rear I/O section of the server board is used to plug<br />
these small flash storage devices.<br />
