Setting Up Event Logs 12 - 9<br />

NOTE: If a power failure occurs, the logs contained in the memory will not<br />

be saved.<br />

The display will be similar to the following:<br />

b[ackward], f[orward], n[ewest], o[l<strong>de</strong>st], a[ll], C[lear], q[uit] :<br />

n First Line: “OLDEST” indicates the end of the buffer display. This<br />

will appear at the end of the history log.<br />

n Display Lines: Displays the time since power-up that the log<br />

occurred, the severity level (I-information, E-error, or S-severe) and<br />

the actual log text.<br />

n Last Line: Indicates the current time and the time the buffer was<br />

last cleared by the operator. “NEWEST” indicates the start of the<br />

history log.<br />

n Option Line: Indicates the movement keys to use when viewing the<br />

history logs. Since displaying the entire history will take more than<br />

a screen page, use the following keys to navigate through the history<br />

log:<br />

b: Back one page in the log<br />

f: Forward one page in the log<br />

n: Moves to the newest log entry<br />

o: Moves to the ol<strong>de</strong>st log entry<br />

q: Exit the History Log screen<br />

Clearing the History Buffer (Clear)<br />

a: Dump entire log (usually captured to a file on a PC)<br />

Use the clear option to <strong>de</strong>lete all logs from the history buffer.
