The first column is the no<strong>de</strong>’s IP address followed by its MAC address<br />

and then its home agent IP address. The state is either established or<br />

waiting for home agent confirmation. The lifetime column displays the<br />

count in seconds since this entry was refreshed and the count at which it<br />

will be removed.<br />

Authorizing Mobile No<strong>de</strong>s to Roam (Add/Remove/Display)<br />

Before a no<strong>de</strong> is allowed to roam, the home agent must be told information<br />

about the no<strong>de</strong> to validate its i<strong>de</strong>ntity.<br />

The Add option allows you to validate a range of IP addresses. You are<br />

prompted for the low and high IP addresses in the range. They can be the<br />

same address to validate a single user. You may require that the setup<br />

packets sent between the home agent, foreign agent, and the no<strong>de</strong> itself<br />

must be encrypted. You can either enter noauthentication or a security<br />

parameter in<strong>de</strong>x and an MD5 key.<br />

The Remove option removes entries from the table. You may either<br />

specify a single low IP address or all.<br />

The Display option displays the currently authorized no<strong>de</strong>s.<br />
