Viewing the Configuration Menu<br />

Menu Descriptions<br />

Once you have completed the installation, the next step is to use the<br />

Configuration Menu commands to configure the Aironet 340 Series<br />

Bridge.<br />

To access the Configuration Menu, select Configuration from the Main<br />

Menu.<br />

Configuration Menu<br />

1 - Radio [ menu ] - Radio network parameters<br />

2 - Ethernet [ menu ] - Ethernet configuration<br />

3 - I<strong>de</strong>nt [ menu ] - I<strong>de</strong>ntification information<br />

4 - Console [ menu ] - Control console access<br />

5 - Stp [ menu ] - Spanning Tree Protocol<br />

6 - Mobile-IP [ menu ] - Mobile IP Protocol Configuration<br />

7 - Time [ menu ] - Network Time Setup<br />

8 - Dump - Dump configuration to console<br />

Enter an option number or name, “=” main menu, previous menu<br />

Radio: Used to set radio network parameters, such as system ID,<br />

frequency, and bitrate. See Chapter 4 “Configuring the Radio<br />

Network”.<br />

Ethernet: Used to set the Ethernet Parameters. See Chapter 5 “Configuring<br />

the Ethernet Port”.<br />

I<strong>de</strong>nt: Used to set various infrastructure i<strong>de</strong>ntifiers such as No<strong>de</strong><br />

Names, Network ID, and Internet Address. See Chapter 6 “Setting the<br />

Network I<strong>de</strong>ntifiers”.<br />

Console: Used to set up the Console Port. See Chapter 2 “Accessing the<br />

Console System”.<br />

STP: Used to configure the spanning tree protocol. See Chapter 8<br />

“Using the Spanning Tree Protocol”.<br />

Mobile-IP: Used to configure the unit as either a home or foreign<br />

mobile P agent. See Chapter 7 “Configuring Mobile IP”.
