With VAD, silence is not transmitted over the network, only audible speech. If you enable VAD, the sound quality will be slightly degraded but the connection will monopolize much less bandwidth. If you use the no form of this command, VAD is disabled and voice data is continuously transmitted to the IP backbone. This command is applicable only to VoIP peers.
