To associate a dial peer with a specific <strong>voice</strong>-<strong>port</strong>, use the <strong>port</strong> dial-peer configuration command.<br />

Use the no form of this command to cancel this association.<br />

<strong>port</strong> slot-number/subunit-number/<strong>port</strong><br />

no <strong>port</strong><br />

Syntax Description<br />

slot-number/ Specifies the slot number in the Cisco router where the <strong>voice</strong> interface<br />

card is installed. Valid entries are from 0 to 3, <strong>de</strong>pending on the slot<br />

where it has been installed.<br />

subunit-number/ Specifies the subunit on the <strong>voice</strong> interface card where the <strong>voice</strong> <strong>port</strong> is<br />

located. Valid entries are 0 or 1.<br />

<strong>port</strong> Specifies the <strong>voice</strong> <strong>port</strong>. Valid entries are 0 or 1.<br />

Default<br />

No <strong>port</strong> is configured.<br />

This command first appeared in Cisco IOS Release 11.3(1)T.<br />

Use the <strong>port</strong> configuration command to associate the <strong>de</strong>signated <strong>voice</strong> <strong>port</strong> with the selected dial<br />

peer.<br />

This command is used for calls incoming from a telephony interface to select an incoming dial peer<br />

and for calls coming from the VoIP network to match a <strong>port</strong> with the selected outgoing dial peer.<br />

This command is applicable only to POTS peers.<br />

Example<br />

The following example associates a dial peer with <strong>voice</strong> <strong>port</strong> 1, which is located on subunit 0, and<br />

accessed through <strong>port</strong> 0:<br />

dial-peer <strong>voice</strong> 10 pots<br />

<strong>port</strong> 1/0/0<br />
