Program’s Drop-In Lounge ♦<br />

Adults of all ages from all communities are<br />

welcome to visit our drop-in center. There is a<br />

senior resource area, a small lending library,<br />

informal games, including Wii sports, daily<br />

newspaper, pool tables, drop-in computer<br />

station and the coffee pot is always on!<br />

Drop-In Computer Station ♦<br />

A new computer work station has been donated<br />

by the Falcon Heights Lauderdale Lions Club. It is<br />

available for individuals to use on a drop in basis.<br />

You can use the Internet, check email accounts<br />

etc. You must be an independent user. Print<br />

copies are limited to five pages and cost 10 cents<br />

each. Get password from RASP office. First come<br />

first served basis.<br />

Trouble Shooting Sessions ♦<br />

Duane Manderscheid, computer volunteer,<br />

conducts one on one computer trouble shooting<br />

sessions. This is for individuals who have<br />

taken classes and have some computer skills<br />

but have questions and need some minimal<br />

assistance with Internet use, Word, Excel etc.<br />

Beginner Bridge Class ♦<br />

Beginning Bridge is for those who have never played and for<br />

those who wish to update their skills. The emphasis of this course<br />

is on basic bidding, scoring and the protocols of the game. An<br />

American Contract Bridge League approved text is available from<br />

the instructor to accompany the course ($20), payable in class.<br />

Register RASP office or online.<br />

Mignon Nearmyer, is a Bronze Life Master and an ACBL<br />

accredited teacher of more than 15 years.<br />

This is an interactive and fun game that allows people to do video<br />

Mahjong is a game that originated in China and is similar to the<br />

Western card game Rummy, but played with tiles. Popular in<br />

the United States since the 1920s, Mahjong is a game of skill,<br />

strategy, calculation and a degree of chance. Come enhance your<br />

brain skills by learning a new game or helping others learn.<br />

New! Maintain Your Brain Station♦<br />

The Brain Fitness station includes games and books about brain health<br />

that can be checked out. The brain health program supports the four pillars<br />

of brain health (mental stimulation, physical activity, nutrition, and stress<br />

reduction). The games are located on the games & puzzle shelf and books<br />

in the library area of RASP’s drop-in lounge. Sponsored by <strong>Roseville</strong> Area<br />

Senior Program, Ramsey County Library, MELSA, and the Alzheimer<br />

Association, and funded by a Library Services and Technology Act grant.<br />

55+ Defensive Driving ♦<br />

(4 Hour Refresher Course)<br />

Brush up on your driving skills and receive a 10% discount on your car<br />

insurance for 3 years. No driving test required. You will receive a certificate<br />

of completion to provide to your insurance company. Class size limited.<br />

Prerequisite: 8 hour defensive driving course. Preregistration at the <strong>Roseville</strong><br />

Area Senior program is required at least one week prior to the class date.<br />
