This is an introduction to basic strokes such as forehand, backhand<br />
and serves. Court strategy will also be covered. In addition to hitting<br />
balls, each session will end with a group game emphasizing fun<br />

It is Farmers’ Market time! This year’s market offers great plantings<br />
for your garden, along with some selected root vegetables.<br />
Throughout the season, more and more offerings abound, including<br />
carrots, radishes, melons, corn, beans and more. Don’t miss our<br />
specialty vendors, with sauces, breads and spices. The market will<br />
be held on Wednesdays at the Rogers Activity Center (ice arena)<br />
parking lot Jun 12-Oct 9, 2013, 3:30-7:00pm. For more information,<br />

Tennis 2 | age 8+<br />
For students who have had tennis lessons and have basic<br />
knowledge and skills. Concentration is on improving stroke<br />
technique, footwork and serve. Students should be able to exercise<br />
forehand and backhand strokes and keep score. Skills must be at<br />
the same level as others to participate in this class.<br />

Check the Rogers Park & Recreation website in March to see if<br />
Rogers was selected to host a “Minnesota Twins Community Fund<br />
& Play Ball” youth clinic this summer. In past years, 50-100 youths<br />
have attended this fun and exciting event.<br />
Skyhawks Volleyball Camp<br />
age 7-12<br />
This co-ed program is designed for the<br />
beginning and intermediate player and<br />
covers all aspects of volleyball through<br />
drills and exercises that focus on passing,<br />
setting, hitting and serving using gamespeed<br />
drills and daily scrimmages aimed<br />
at developing the whole player. Players<br />
should wear kneed pads; all participants<br />
receive a volleyball.<br />
