Battle Creek Air & Balloon Festival
Your tour heads east to Battle Creek, MI, arriving at Kellog Airport
in time for the Field of Flight Air Show and Balloon Festival.
From your seats in the VIP tent, you will see a 130-balloon
launch, the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds squadron, and the All-
Star Aerobatic Review. In addition to ground acts, enjoy the
Funland Carnival, crafters and food vendors. The next day, you
will visit the Gilmore Car Museum, the Midwest Miniatures Museum,
and have a city tour. Then you’ll head east to Marshall to
the American Museum of Magic. After lunch you will see The
Abbott Magic Company, shop for tricks and watch a mystifying
show in the theater in Colon. Your final stop will be at Nottawa
Fruit Farm in Centreville for fresh-baked breads, pies and fruit.

Grand Hotel Closing
Join us as we celebrate the Grand’s 125th season closing and
get a look behind the scenes. Your first stop will be at Cornwell’s
Turkeyville, USA for lunch and then dinner at the Log Cabin
Restaurant. The next day, you’ll ride the scenic Sunrise Coast
Highway. At Alpena, you’ll see the Great Lakes Maritime Heritage
Center and visit two lighthouses. Then ferry to Mackinac
Island and the Grand Hotel for a formal (men must wear jacket
and tie, ladies wear dress/pantsuits), five-course dinner, dance to
the Grand Orchestra, enjoy a late night snack, watch the last
movie in the theater and slip away for a nightcap at the Cupola
Bar. Everything changes the next day!
