causes an <strong>in</strong>crease <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> <strong>the</strong> repulsive character <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> <strong>the</strong> <strong>in</strong>itial diabatic potential [35] and decreases<br />

<strong>the</strong> value <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> <strong>the</strong> quasifissi<strong>on</strong> barrier which ma<strong>in</strong>ly determ<strong>in</strong>es <strong>the</strong> DNS lifetime t0. The same<br />

<str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> <strong>the</strong> fusi<strong>on</strong> probability P behaviour λ<br />

fus is obta<strong>in</strong>ed for <strong>the</strong> symmetric reacti<strong>on</strong>s 90 + Zr 90Zr, 100 Mo + 100 Mo, 110 Pd + 110 Pd, 123,124 Sn + 123,124 Sn and 136 Xe + 136 Xe as well (Table 6-2).<br />

than <strong>the</strong> fusi<strong>on</strong> probabilities obta<strong>in</strong>ed <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> η—channel which are similar to <strong>the</strong> experimental<br />

values [78, 118] (see Table 6-2). In <strong>the</strong> heavier system <strong>the</strong> difference between <strong>the</strong> fusi<strong>on</strong> barriers<br />

and probabilities <strong>in</strong> both channels is larger and <strong>the</strong> λ—channel is practically closed. This means<br />

a dom<strong>in</strong>ance <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> <strong>the</strong> fusi<strong>on</strong> <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> mass asymmetry degree <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> freedom which is <strong>the</strong> fundamental<br />

assumpti<strong>on</strong> <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> DNS c<strong>on</strong>cept .<br />

The time—dependent transiti<strong>on</strong> between diabatic and adiabatic potentials is a slower process<br />

than <strong>the</strong> quasi-fissi<strong>on</strong> <strong>on</strong>e and <strong>the</strong> system has not enough time for destroy<strong>in</strong>g ”memory” <strong>on</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />

diabatic (structural) forbiddenness that is <strong>in</strong> agreement with c<strong>on</strong>clusi<strong>on</strong>s <strong>in</strong> Ref. [36]. As <strong>the</strong><br />

result, a large h<strong>in</strong>drance for <strong>the</strong> moti<strong>on</strong> to smaller el<strong>on</strong>gati<strong>on</strong>s λ <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> <strong>the</strong> DNS is obta<strong>in</strong>ed. The<br />

comparis<strong>on</strong> <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> <strong>the</strong> calculated energy thresholds for <strong>the</strong> complete fusi<strong>on</strong> <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> λ— andη—channels<br />

shows that <strong>the</strong> DNS favorably evolves to <strong>the</strong> compound nucleus <strong>in</strong> mass asymmetry.<br />
