Motivated by <strong>the</strong>se results, we started to <strong>in</strong>vestigate possible factors which h<strong>in</strong>der <strong>the</strong> DNS<br />

to melt toge<strong>the</strong>r <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> el<strong>on</strong>gati<strong>on</strong> λ. We c<strong>on</strong>sider <strong>the</strong>se factors to be diabatic effects <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />

potential energy surface [35] and a large mass parameter <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> neck coord<strong>in</strong>ate ε [43]. In-<br />

vestigat<strong>in</strong>g <strong>the</strong>se factors, we try to f<strong>in</strong>d <strong>the</strong>oretical justificati<strong>on</strong>s for <strong>the</strong> basic assumpti<strong>on</strong>s <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g><br />

<strong>the</strong> <strong>model</strong> <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> fusi<strong>on</strong> based <strong>on</strong> <strong>the</strong> DNS-c<strong>on</strong>cept. We would like to stress that <strong>the</strong> <strong>model</strong> <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g><br />

fusi<strong>on</strong>, based <strong>on</strong> <strong>the</strong> DNS-c<strong>on</strong>cept, expla<strong>in</strong>s many experimental data c<strong>on</strong>cern<strong>in</strong>g <strong>the</strong> producti<strong>on</strong><br />

<str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> super<strong>heavy</strong> elements and plays an important role for giv<strong>in</strong>g predicti<strong>on</strong>s for new experiments<br />

([22],[27]).<br />

In <strong>the</strong> present work, us<strong>in</strong>g <strong>the</strong> TCSM, we want to study <strong>the</strong> follow<strong>in</strong>g:<br />

• Diabatic potentials as a functi<strong>on</strong> <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> <strong>the</strong> relevant collective variables <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> <strong>the</strong> DNS for <strong>heavy</strong>-<br />

i<strong>on</strong> systems.<br />

• Microscopic mass parameters for <strong>the</strong> relevant coord<strong>in</strong>ates <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> <strong>the</strong> DNS formed <strong>in</strong> collisi<strong>on</strong>s<br />

<str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> <strong>heavy</strong> <strong>nuclei</strong> tak<strong>in</strong>g <strong>the</strong> width <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> s<strong>in</strong>gle-particle states <strong>in</strong>to account.<br />

• Whe<strong>the</strong>r <strong>the</strong> system has time for <strong>the</strong> grow<strong>in</strong>g <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> <strong>the</strong> neck.<br />

• Whe<strong>the</strong>r <strong>the</strong> system has time for destroy<strong>in</strong>g <strong>the</strong> ”memory” <strong>on</strong> <strong>the</strong> diabatic (structural)<br />

forbiddenness for <strong>the</strong> fusi<strong>on</strong> <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> el<strong>on</strong>gati<strong>on</strong> λ and to f<strong>in</strong>d <strong>the</strong> favorable fusi<strong>on</strong> channel.<br />

• With<strong>in</strong> which <strong>model</strong> it is possible to describe <strong>the</strong> experimental quasi-fissi<strong>on</strong> products <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g><br />

fusi<strong>on</strong> reacti<strong>on</strong>s.<br />
