(* For example, if the currency fluctuates 11% from the authorized exchange<br />

rate, the exchange rate will be adjusted by 5.5%).<br />

Each Tournament electing to pay on-site prize money in a specific non-US<br />

currency shall obtain from the <strong>ITF</strong> (Rest of World Events) or Tennis Europe<br />

(European events) the Official <strong>ITF</strong> Exchange Rate determined as provided<br />

and shall use the same.<br />

d) Uncompleted Matches<br />

If the singles or doubles event of a tournament is cancelled, e.g. due to poor<br />

weather, and there has been no play, first round prize money will be paid out<br />

to the players. If play has commenced and been terminated before the<br />

tournament is concluded players will be paid loser’s prize money for the<br />

individual round reached. Additionally, if the first round has been completed,<br />

all players/teams will receive their Round Points earned through the last<br />

completed round only and the tournament will count as a tournament played.<br />

If a tournament is officially terminated and the final(s) have not been<br />

completed, the finalists will each receive finalists’ prize money and ranking<br />

points. The difference between the winner and finalist prize money will<br />

revert back to the tournament.<br />

e) Defaults, Byes, Withdrawal and Retirement<br />

i) No points or prize money will be awarded to a player or team who<br />

withdraws or is a “no show” without playing their first match.<br />

ii) Any player who is defaulted shall lose all prize money, hospitality and<br />

points earned for that event at that tournament, unless:<br />

- The player was defaulted for a violation of the punctuality or dress and<br />

equipment sections of the code of conduct<br />

- The player was defaulted as a result of a medical condition<br />

- A member of a doubles team did not cause any of the misconduct code<br />

violations that resulted in the team being defaulted.<br />

iii) A singles player withdrawing after the first round, or retiring, will<br />

receive loser’s computer points and prize money for the round in which<br />

she retired.<br />

iv) If a singles player withdraws from the semifinal or final their prize<br />

money is calculated per the round they withdrew less 50% of the<br />
