Ties in doubles will be decided by the team with the greatest combined total<br />

points followed by the team with the highest combined ranking from the<br />

previous week and then randomly drawn.<br />

Special Rankings will not be taken into consideration.<br />

Accumulated Points shall not be used (either in Main Draw or Qualifying).<br />

National Rankings shall not be used to determine seedings.<br />

b) Number of Seeds in the Main Draws<br />

The number of players or doubles teams to be seeded in the Main Draws must<br />

be as follows:<br />

32 singles draw 8 seeds<br />

16 doubles draw 4 seeds<br />

11. MAKING THE DRAW<br />

Each draw shall be made in public by the <strong>ITF</strong> Supervisor and with at least<br />

two players present, one of whom shall be of a different nationality to that of<br />

the host country. The time and place of the draw must be announced at least<br />

24 hours in advance of the draw taking place.<br />

a) Time<br />

i) Qualifying Singles: Immediately after player sign-in, which should take<br />

place by 6.00 p.m. (18.00 hrs) on the day before the start of play of the<br />

Qualifying.<br />

ii) Main Draw Singles: No later than 7.00pm (19.00 hrs) on the day before<br />

the Main Draw starts and the Order of Play posted one hour after the draw<br />

has been made.<br />

iii) Qualifying and Main Draw Doubles: Immediately after the doubles signin<br />

at 12.00 noon on the day before the scheduled start of the singles Main<br />

Draw.<br />

b) Method of Draw<br />

The draw shall be made as follows:<br />

i) Qualifying<br />

a) Sections<br />

The Qualifying draw shall be made in sections, with one section for each<br />

place allotted in the Main Draw.<br />

b) Placement of Seeds/Method of draw<br />

In Singles, each section shall have two seeded players. In doubles, each<br />

section shall have one seeded team.<br />

The first seed shall be placed at the top of the first section, the second<br />

seed shall be placed at the top of the second section and so on until all<br />

sections have one (1) seed on the top line of each section.<br />

In Singles, the remaining seeds shall be drawn as one group. The first<br />

drawn shall be placed on the bottom line of the first section, the second<br />
