If a National Association produces an updated National Ranking during the<br />

year, the National Association may send quarterly updates to the <strong>ITF</strong>.<br />

Further places will be filled by unranked players randomly drawn.<br />

v) Ties<br />

If players’ computer rankings are tied, the following tie-break procedures will<br />

be used:<br />

a) player with the highest ranking from the previous week<br />

b) randomly drawn<br />

b) Doubles<br />

The ranking list of Monday seven (7) days before the tournament week shall<br />

be used.<br />

i) Method A<br />

Including players with Special Rankings confirmed by WTA. The order will<br />

be by combined Doubles ranking. Ties will be decided by the team with the<br />

greatest combined total points followed by the team with the highest<br />

combined Doubles ranking from the previous week and then randomly<br />

drawn.<br />

ii) Method B<br />

Including players with Special Rankings confirmed by WTA. National<br />

Ranking will not be considered. Order will be according to Doubles ranking<br />

of the ranked player. Ties will be decided by the Doubles ranking of the<br />

previous week of the ranked player and then randomly drawn.<br />

iii) Method C<br />

National Ranking will not be considered. Ties will be randomly drawn.<br />

8. SIGN-IN<br />

a) Qualifying<br />

The Qualifying Sign-in Deadline is at 18.00 hours local time at the site of the<br />

Tournament on the day preceding the start of the Qualifying Draw.<br />

i) $10,000 and $25,000 tournaments<br />

All players must personally sign-in on-site with the <strong>ITF</strong> Supervisor.<br />

Telephone sign-in is not accepted.<br />

ii) $50,000, $75,000 and $100,000 tournaments<br />

All players must sign-in on-site with the <strong>ITF</strong> Supervisor. On-site<br />

Alternates must sign-in in person on-site; entered players may sign-in by<br />

telephone.<br />

For all tournaments the <strong>ITF</strong> Supervisor/Referee at an <strong>ITF</strong> sanctioned<br />

tournament in the preceding week, including a WTA tournament, may sign-in<br />
