Alternate or Lucky Loser.<br />

k) Administrative Error on Acceptance Lists<br />

If an administrative error is made on a Tournament Player Acceptance List<br />

and too many players are accepted into the Tournament, arrive on site and<br />

sign-in to play the tournament, the following procedures will be followed: the<br />

last two (2) players accepted into the Tournament based upon the most<br />

current updated entry list (excluding Wild Cards and Qualifiers) will play a<br />

preliminary match for one (1) spot in the draw. The loser of the preliminary<br />

match will receive 1st round WTA Ranking points and 1 st round prize money.<br />

Prize money payment to the loser of the preliminary match will not constitute<br />

an additional expense to the Tournament; it will be paid by the <strong>ITF</strong>. A player<br />

who wins the preliminary match but then loses in the 1st round will receive<br />

1st round prize money plus 25% of 2nd round prize money and 35% of 2nd<br />

round WTA Ranking Points.<br />

It is the responsibility of the <strong>ITF</strong> to advise the Director of the MIS<br />

Department at the WTA Florida office immediately following the discovery<br />

of any such administrative error.<br />

l) Entry Fees<br />

Tournament Organisers may charge an entry fee of up to a maximum of<br />

US$40 per player in Qualifying and US$40 per player in the Main Draw per<br />

tournament to include both singles and doubles. No player may be charged<br />

more than a total of US$40 for one tournament. For doubles only, an entry<br />

fee may be charged up to a maximum of US$15 per player in the Qualifying<br />

and a maximum of US$20 per player in the Main Draw per tournament.<br />

(Qualifiers and Lucky Losers in doubles may be required to pay the<br />

difference between the entry fees for Qualifying and Main Draw).<br />

Any such entry fee must either be paid as directed by the Tournament<br />

Director prior to the start of the tournament or deducted from prize money.<br />

7. SYSTEM OF MERIT<br />

Players who wish to enter a tournament with a Special Ranking must contact<br />

the WTA at least one week prior to the Entry Deadline requesting<br />

confirmation is sent to the <strong>ITF</strong>. When two or more players are tied, the actual<br />

ranking supersedes the Special Ranking for acceptance purposes.<br />

The following shall be used as the basis for acceptances:-<br />

a) Singles<br />

i) Method A<br />

Entered players with an approved Singles Computer Ranking shall be<br />

selected in accordance with their positions on the approved Computer<br />

Ranking list available on the Entry Deadline and dated twenty-one (21) days<br />

prior to the Monday of the tournament week.<br />
