If there are insufficient Special Exempt places in the Main Draw for all<br />

applicants, the players shall be selected according to the ranking from<br />

Monday seven (7) days before the tournament week. Unsuccessful applicants<br />

will not be penalised under the Late Withdrawal/Non-Appearance provisions<br />

of the Code of Conduct.<br />

If no requests for Special Exempt status are received prior to the Qualifying<br />

Sign-In deadline, such places shall be taken by Direct Acceptances.<br />

If prior to the Entry Deadline it is established that there will be no Special<br />

Exempt places because there are no “Qualified Tournaments” in the week<br />

preceding the Tournament, then the places reserved in the Main Draw for<br />

Special Exempts shall become places for Direct Acceptances and will be<br />

indicated as such on the Acceptance List.<br />

6. ENTRIES AND WITHDRAWALS<br />

All players applying for entry in singles and doubles shall be deemed to apply<br />

for entry into the Main Draw or the Qualifying depending on her ranking by<br />

the applicable System of Merit.<br />

a) Singles<br />

i) A player may apply for entry into one (1) but not more than six (6)<br />

tournaments in a given calendar week, in which case she must indicate a<br />

priority. If no priority is stated, the <strong>ITF</strong> will assign a priority. (See<br />

Appendix D – for Entry and Withdrawal <strong>Pro</strong>cedures)<br />

ii) The Entry Deadline is at 14:00 hrs Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) on the<br />

Thursday eighteen (18) days prior to the Monday of the Tournament<br />

week. Entries for “Main Draw Only” shall be considered for $50,000,<br />

$75,000 and $100,000 tournaments.<br />

iii) All entries and withdrawals must be submitted online through the IPIN<br />

Online Service or in writing on the Official Entry or Withdrawal Form<br />

and sent to the <strong>ITF</strong> by fax or post. Emails are not accepted. See Appendix<br />

D for Entry and Withdrawal <strong>Pro</strong>cedures.<br />

iv) All entries are subject to the Regulations and Conditions of Entry stated in<br />

Appendix D – Entry <strong>Pro</strong>cedures. Written entries must be signed by the<br />

player and must contain the required information.<br />

v) An Alternate can appear on more than one Alternate list and is not<br />

committed to play in any one tournament unless she moves into a Main<br />

Draw or Qualifying Acceptance list prior to the Freeze Deadline, in which<br />

case she will be removed from all other lists.<br />
