Sometimes I sit alone in my room<br />
thinking about what I want to say<br />
because of you<br />
all my hopes and all of my dreams<br />
everything falling in between<br />
seems that the memories<br />
mean more to you<br />
than they do you<br />
with everything I lack<br />
and every time I see you smiling back<br />
I smile because I thought we would last<br />
just to know you’re there<br />
but so far away<br />
footfalls echo in the memory<br />
down the passage<br />
we didn’t take<br />
towards the door we never opened<br />
always what could’ve<br />
or if I would’ve<br />
I’ve made some bad choices<br />
and missed what I wanted<br />

but I stayed trapped<br />
stuck in the memories<br />
