As a result by solving the following equation that was achieved from standard curve of protein<br />

concentration, the percentage of zygomycetes protein concentration was calculated.<br />

Zygomycetes biomass lipid includes fatty acids ester. The amount of lipid present in zygomycetes<br />

biomass was determined by solvent extraction method. To 50 ml of 5% w/v extracted protein<br />

solution in water, the mixed solvents which contain: absolute ethanol (20 ml), diethyl ether (50ml),<br />

petroleum ether (50ml) was added in decanter and roughly agitated. The extraction process was<br />

repeated three times and the solvent phase was evaporated in weighed aluminum pans, next dried<br />

in oven at 100 o C until a constant weight was achieved. According to our experimental work the<br />

lipid content of zygomycetes fungi was 13.08 g lipid per 100 g dried biomass.<br />
