Typographic rules: Speech Bubbles A typographic hierarchy has been developed for use in speech bubbles. The relationship between font sizes, weights and colours should always be maintained. Specific sizes are given here as an example. Main Tesimonial Font: Helvetica Neue 75 Bold Colour: Black Font Size: 18pt Leading: 22pt Name Font: Helvetica Neue 75 Bold Colour: Red Font Size: 12pt Leading: 18pt Job Title Font: Helvetica Neue 55 Roman Colour: Black Font Size: 12pt Leading: 18pt Second line leading: 16pt Typographic rules: Basic Some more general rules that should be adhered to in Red Gate materials. Alignment: Always ragged left, never justified. Quote usage: Straight only ( ' + " ) not ( ‘+ “ ) Negative tracking: Permitted, but not more than a value of -40 (assuming use of Adobe InDesign) Ligatures: Recommended, and placed automatically when using OpenType fonts Kerning: Pay close attention to Helvetica's 1 in particular.
