v To copy just the user-defined characters from DBCS font table QIGC2424<br />

onto tape, enter:<br />

DEV(QTAP01) SELECT(*USER)<br />

4. Press the Enter key. The system copies the DBCS font table onto the specified<br />

media.<br />

5. Remove the tape or diskette after the system finishes copying the table.<br />

Copying a DBCS font table from tape or diskette<br />

Use the Copy DBCS Font Table (CPYIGCTBL) command to copy a DBCS font table<br />

from a tape or a diskette onto the system. The system automatically creates the<br />

DBCS font table again when copying its contents if the following are true:<br />

v The specified table does not already exist in the system.<br />

v The media from which you are copying the table contains all of the <strong>IBM</strong>-defined<br />

double-byte characters.<br />

v SELECT(*ALL) or SELECT(*SYS) is specified on the CPYIGCTBL command.<br />

How to copy a DBCS table from a tape or diskette<br />

To copy a DBCS font table from tape or diskette onto the system:<br />

1. Load the removable media from which the table will be copied onto the<br />

system.<br />

2. Enter the CPYIGCTBL command as follows:<br />

a. Choose the OPTION(*IN) value.<br />

b. Use the DEV parameter to select the device from which to copy the DBCS<br />

font table.<br />

c. Use the SELECT and RANGE parameters to specify which portion of the<br />

table will be copied from the tape or diskette. See the CL Reference for a<br />

description of the CPYIGCTBL command and for instructions on choosing<br />

SELECT and RANGE parameter values.<br />

The following are two examples of commands used to copy a DBCS font table<br />

to the system.<br />

v To copy the DBCS font table QIGC2424 from diskette, enter:<br />

CPYIGCTBLIGCTBL(QIGC2424) OPTION(*IN) +<br />

DEV(QDKT)<br />

v To copy just the user-defined characters from DBCS font table QIGC2424<br />

from tape and to replace the user-defined characters in the table with the<br />

ones from the tape, enter:<br />

CPYIGCTBLIGCTBL(QIGC2424) OPTION(*IN) +<br />

DEV(QTAP01) SELECT(*USER) RPLIMG(*YES)<br />

3. Press the Enter key. The system copies the DBCS font table from the tape or<br />

diskette onto the system.<br />

4. Remove the tape or diskette after the system finishes copying the table.<br />

Deleting a DBCS font table<br />

Use the Delete DBCS Font Table (DLTIGCTBL) command to delete a DBCS font<br />

table from the system.
