Overview QSAM and Local VSAM Messages 8-8 AionDS Messages and Codes When a knowledge base accesses data using the QSAM, VSAM, SQL or DL/I access methods, AionDS writes special messages to the system log when an error occurs. The format and content of these messages is described below. .........................................................................................................................................................................................................˝.......................................... Overview If you use the QSAM or local VSAM access methods on the mainframe, the system log contains a special message whenever an I/O error occurs. The format of this message is as follows: where ADS##### sev access,op,ddname,dsname,return-reason info ##### unique number that identifies the AionDS subsystem from which the message was issued sev message severity access access method type op I/O operation that was being performed ddname DD name dsname dataset name return return code reason reason code info info code
