4.8.3 Common Message Structure
The ERG APTA-0001 proposed message layout consists of two parts as illustrated
in
Exhibit 4.8-1:

APTA Header Variant Data
APTA System Header APTA System Common Header
Both APTA System Header and the APTA System Common Header make up the
header of the message. The body of the message, called “Variant Data”, is made of
a
series of data structures, each containing individual data elements. Exhibit 4.8-2
provides a list of data structures used in all the messages.
