• Hmong village 80 km from Cayenne.
Access: by road, or by travelling up the Comté
river.
Interests: this visit mainly focuses on the crafts
and gastronomy offered by this community of
settlers from Laos and on the weekly Sunday
market.
The Macouria animal park
• 37 km from Cayenne.

Show: caiman feeding time on Sunday at 6 pm.
Interests: the animal park is an essential visit to
safely discover the Guianese fauna.

The Saint-Laurent du Maroni
rum distillery
• The only rum distillery still in operation in
French Guiana. It is situated in the locality of Saint-
Maurice, in Saint-Laurent du Maroni (254 km from
Cayenne), at the start of the Paul Isnard track.
• Free and guided visit for groups (minimum
7 people – maximum 20).
Visiting times: Monday to Friday from 8 am to
11.30 am.
