Kourou technological Centre
The Guiana Space Centre
• 54 km from Cayenne.
• Opening times: from Monday to Thursday: 2 visits per day at 7.45 am
and 12.45 pm. Friday: 1 visit at 8 am.
Duration of visit: 3 hours

• Booking deadlines: between 2 days and 1 week in summer.
A tour encompassing all the launch sites. Visits are accompanied
with a guide in air-conditioned buses. Presentation of a piece of identity
necessary for everyone aged 8 and over.
Photography (camcorders and cameras) is authorised on the whole
site. Animals are not permitted. For safety reasons, there are no visits
between 1 and 10 days before the launch of Ariane. Depending on
operations on the base, tours and visiting times may be modified.

The Space Museum

All year round, from Monday to Friday from 8 am to 6 pm
and Saturday from 2 pm to 6 pm. Closed on public holidays.

• The permanent exhibition area open to the public has 7 modules
in the form of mezzanines. You can wander around freely, learning
about a different space activity at each step: the universe, the
conquest of space, “from dream to reality”, European launchers, inhabited
flights, satellites, payloads and the future. Your visit can also include
the holorama, the lunorama and a slideshow to discover the European
space programmes, relive the magical moments of landing on the
moon, or an Ariane launch campaign. The museum also has a
planetarium, and a temporary exhibition area that provides latest
space news. There are 1/4 scale models and information panels.

This site is open to the public, with
no time or age constraints.
No visits the day before or the day after
Ariane is launched.
