Kourou technological Centre<br />
The <strong>Guiana</strong> Space Centre<br />
• 54 km from Cayenne.<br />
• Opening times: from Monday to Thursday: 2 visits per day at 7.45 am<br />
and 12.45 pm. Friday: 1 visit at 8 am.<br />
Duration of visit: 3 hours<br />

from Monday to Thursday,<br />
• Booking <strong>de</strong>adlines: between 2 days and 1 week in summer.<br />
A tour encompassing all the <strong>la</strong>unch sites. Visits are accompanied<br />
with a gui<strong>de</strong> in air-conditioned buses. Presentation of a piece of i<strong>de</strong>ntity<br />
necessary for everyone aged 8 and over.<br />
Photography (camcor<strong>de</strong>rs and cameras) is authorised on the whole<br />
site. Animals are not permitted. For safety reasons, there are no visits<br />
between 1 and 10 days before the <strong>la</strong>unch of Ariane. Depending on<br />
operations on the base, tours and visiting times may be modified.<br />
All information is confirmed at the time of booking.<br />
The Space Museum<br />

All year round, from Monday to Friday from 8 am to 6 pm<br />
and Saturday from 2 pm to 6 pm. Closed on public holidays.<br />

• The permanent exhibition area open to the public has 7 mo<strong>du</strong>les<br />
in the form of mezzanines. You can wan<strong>de</strong>r around freely, learning<br />
about a different space activity at each step: the universe, the<br />
conquest of space, “from dream to reality”, European <strong>la</strong>unchers, inhabited<br />
flights, satellites, payloads and the future. Your visit can also inclu<strong>de</strong><br />
the holorama, the lunorama and a sli<strong>de</strong>show to discover the European<br />
space programmes, relive the magical moments of <strong>la</strong>nding on the<br />
moon, or an Ariane <strong>la</strong>unch campaign. The museum also has a<br />
p<strong>la</strong>netarium, and a temporary exhibition area that provi<strong>de</strong>s <strong>la</strong>test<br />
space news. There are 1/4 scale mo<strong>de</strong>ls and information panels.<br />
