Abstract: The Science Technology Entry Program provides math and science for <strong>in</strong>ner city<br />

youth around New York State. STEP <strong>in</strong> Albany, New York is a collaboration between the<br />

University at Albany, SUNY, Albany Medical College, and Philip Liv<strong>in</strong>gston Middle School.<br />

Students meet dur<strong>in</strong>g the week to learn about math, science genetics, graph<strong>in</strong>g calculators,<br />

multimedia technology, and the Internet. Students meet guest speakers and attend field trips<br />

<strong>in</strong> the related fields. The students are develop<strong>in</strong>g newsletters, multimedia products, and<br />

creat<strong>in</strong>g World Wide Web site about the program. The program is explor<strong>in</strong>g ways to <strong>in</strong>tegrate<br />

technology <strong>in</strong>to cross curricula design areas of math, science, English, technology, and social<br />

studies.
