G is for Green. Farms and ranches today are far more efficient at producing food than they were in<br />
the 1930s and 1940s
H is for Horses, which once did much of the work on the farm. Now, gas-powered tractors with the<br />
latest in technology allow farmers to feed more people than ever before.
I is for Ice Cream that tastes great and is good for you. The fat and calcium in ice cream help you grow<br />
and stay strong.
J is for all of the Jobs agriculture contributes to our society.
K is for Keepers. Today’s farmers and ranchers keep their animals healthy and<br />
comfortable so they can produce high-quality foods.
L is for the Land upon which our cattle graze and our crops are grown.

Drug Administration, regulates how farm animals are raised and what they are fed.
V is for the Variety of feed ingredients farm animals consume — from corn to soybeans to co-products.
W is for Why! Feeding the world is why farmers and scientists team up to bring you the safest and most<br />

Taking you through the <strong>ABC</strong>s of <strong>Farming</strong> is sixth generation farmer Trent<br />
Loos who raises beef cattle, pigs, goats and chickens on his ranch near<br />
Loup City, Neb. In addition to being a farmer, Trent also can be heard daily<br />
on nearly 100 radio stations and viewed each weekends on his Dish Network<br />
9411 show “Loos Tales.”<br />
