CONTROLLED FIRING AREA<br />

CAMP STANLEY, SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS<br />

The Military has established a controlled firing area bordered by the following geographic coordinates: beginning at<br />

N29°4037/W98°3753; thence to N29°4117/W98°3549; toN29°4351/W98°3550; toN29°4351/W98°<strong>372</strong>3;<br />

to point of beginning. Operating SR–SS daily, SFC to 1,500 feet AGL (2,500 feet MSL). For further information contact San<br />

Angelo AFSS on 1–325–223–6041.<br />

CONTINUOUS POWER FACILITIES<br />

In order to insure that a basic ATC system remains in operation despite an areawide or catastrophic commercial power<br />

failure, key equipment and certain <strong>airport</strong>s have been designated to provide a network of facilities whose operational<br />

capability can be utilized independent of any commerical power supply.<br />

In addition to those facilities comprising the basic ATC system, the following approach and lighting aids have been<br />

included in this program for a selected runway.<br />

1. ILS (Localizer, Glide Slope, COMLO, Inner, Middle and Outer Markers)<br />

2. Wind Measuring Capability<br />

3. Approach Light System (ALS) or Short ALS (SALS)<br />

4. Ceiling Measuring Capability<br />

5. Touchdown Zone Lighting (TDZL)<br />

6. Centerline Lighting (CL)<br />

7. Runway Visual Range (RVR)<br />

8. High Intensity Runway Lighting (HIRL)<br />

9. Taxiway Lighting<br />

10. Apron Light (Perimeter Only)<br />
