1. CFA Description:<br />
a. Boundaries: Beginning at<br />
Lat. 29°4110.07N., Long. 98°3141.40W. to<br />
Lat. 29°4025.05N., Long. 98°3357.40W. to<br />
Lat. 29°3920.22N., Long. 98°3444.18W. to<br />
Lat. 29°3803.77N., Long. 98°3413.26W. to<br />
Lat. 29°3753.94N., Long. 98°3346.90W. to<br />
Lat. 29°3836.77N., Long. 98°3155.13W. to<br />
Lat. 29°3948.07N., Long. 98°3106.07W. to<br />
Point of beginning.<br />
b. Altitudes: Surface to 3,000 feet AGL.<br />
c. Times of use: Approximately 70 times per year. Utilization will normally be 7 days per week, 0700–2300 local time.<br />
Give prior notice of all activities to the San Angelo Automated Flight Service Station (AFSS). Notify the AFSS when activities<br />
are terminated each day.<br />
2. Activities:<br />
a. M203 40mm Grenade Launcher, HE/Target Practice Training (TPT) rounds, average use 50 times per year.<br />
b. Heavy Demolitions Range, types of explosives will vary, but all are conventional (no nuclear, biological, or chemical),<br />
20 times per year.<br />
c. Emergency destruction of illegal explosive devices will be unscheduled due to the nature of the event.<br />
3. Using Agency: U.S. Army, Commander, Camp Bullis Training Site, Camp Bullis, TX<br />
4. Effective date: The effective date is February 1, 2004. Biannual approval of the CFA is automatic upon receipt of a<br />
biannual status report from the Department of the Army Regional Representative containing a statement that the activities<br />
for which the area was established have not changed.<br />
5. Conditions, Operating Limitations, and Safety Precautions:<br />
a. Camp Bullis Training Site will maintain observers with direct communications to the Range Towers located in positions<br />
that allow for sufficient visual surveillance of the entire area.<br />
b. Firing will cease upon observation of low–flying aircraft.<br />
c. The ceiling shall be at least 1,000 feet above the maximum ordinate of projectiles and/or debris.<br />
d. Visibility shall be sufficient to maintain visual surveillance of the entire CFA plus a distance of 5 statute miles beyond<br />
the CFA in all directions.<br />
e. All user responsibilities, precautionary measures, and surveillance requirements listed in FAA Order 7400.2 shall be<br />
complied with.<br />
f. All activities will be contained within the designated impact area at Camp Bullis.<br />
6. With the exception of the emergency destruction of unsafe explosive devices, the following information shall be filed<br />
with the San Angelo AFSS in sufficient time to permit a NOTAM to be transmitted at least 2 hours prior to scheduled<br />
operations:<br />
a. Location of the CFA.<br />
b. Time of use.<br />
c. Activity to be conducted.<br />
d. Maximum altitudes.<br />
e. User.<br />
7. Any violation of the conditions, as outlined above, shall be the basis for the FAA to withdraw authorization of the CFA.<br />
