When handling these “documents” on the graphical desktop the quality of the picture is satisfying.
They can be zoomed in by using the browser’s zoom functionality. Also, it is possible to change to a
single document view. WeCoLAr also has the functionality to filter the viewed documents on the
desktop, so for instance, one can choose to see only those documents that belong to a certain sub
task (all design documents for the menu system). Figure 10 exemplifies the user interface of
WeCoLAr. In the viewed modus it is possible to drag documents within the argument net and change
the structure of the net.

6. Outlook
WeCoLAr is now being tested in real learning processes at university level. The example used in this
paper is one of the domains where the WeCoLAr system is used (i.e. introduction to programming,
object oriented programming). But the system will also be put into effect in other domains that are
affected by business processes. One application field will be courses in Macroeconomics.
Future work on the concept of arguments and constraints in learning processes will focus on the
control of the process. (Dillenbourg & Tchounikine 2007) describe macro scripts that implement
didactic concepts. This would match the idea of offering different construction activities in WeCoLAr.
Of special interest could be the question of flexibility in controlled process systems. For now WeCoLAr
is controlled by the learners themselves. A learning script defines some constraints for this process
